Tiers to feed 14 people?

I’ve been asked to do a christening cake for a little fella, to feed 14. The consumer wants either a tatty teddy ( which I’ve done using Pauls tutorial) or a tier cake . I’d love to try tier as I’ve never done one before – question is then how big do I make it as it only needs to feed 14 people?
Suggestions and/or pictures of cakes you all have made would be great! The cake is for the 21st

Thanks!

Hi ShellsBells

Why don’t you make a tier from a 4″ and a 6″ cake or even a 6″ and an 8″. Sure there will be cake left over or your client could just give the guest a bigger portion. Here is the cake portions chart to help you decide:

There are a number of suitable tiered cakes in the tutorials, one being the most recent sailboat cake here:

Look through the tutorial and you could easily adapt any of the tiered novelty cakes for a smaller amounts.

Hope this helps.
