Transporting models on a cake

Hi, I have been asked to make an ice hockey cake with 2 standing ice hockey players. I am not delivering the cake it is getting picked up and transported about an hour away. Usually i would take the figures separately and put them in on delivery however because they are picking it up would the figures be ok travelling on the cake? They would be standing on the cake and I’ve never transported them like this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated many thanks in advance x

Hi I always put my figurines on cake before delivery. I assume they have some sort of stick or support through them? I use either royal icing or a string edible glue such as Rainbow Dust super strength where the model is going and then just push figure in. Allow overnight for the royal icing or glue to set and your figure will be fine

Hi fi28

I always insert lollypop sticks into the legs and push them into the cake. For extra security put a blob of royal icing or white ganache/melted white chocolate underneath the feet to act as strong glue. Allow to set overnight.
