Very hard ganache

Hi everyone,
can you help me with a problem please? I have made milk and dark ganache separately and mixed them together and put them in the fridge, I got it out to use it this morning. It’s now past 3pm and I still can’t get a spoon in it, it’s still so hard. Can anyone come up with a solution and where did I go wrong????

Hi AmyS

Just warm it up in the microwave on low/medium setting for 10 seconds at a time, stir after each warming until you get a working consistency. There is nothing wrong with the ganache it set hard from being in the fridge.
It will probably set again while you’re working with it, just warm gently stir and use. There is no need to refrigerate ganache once made. It will be fine left out on the counter covered up with cling film.
