Hi Emmalouise 110

I think Paul uses the Asda’s own brand, it cost approx 99p for 200g. There’s good chocolate in Lidle and Aldi. Paul has also put up a suppliers list in the free/beginners section for Belcolade chocolate. I think as long as the coco content is 55 – 60% it will be suitable for Paul’s chocolate cake recipe. Anything above that would make for quite a bitter taste. I use the Alidi or Lidle brand, 200g for 99p, they also have flavoured choc, orange, raspberry, strawberry etc which sometimes makes a nice change from plain.

Hi,

I get mine from Bookers Cash & Carry in big bags, but now I’ve seen madeitwithlove’s suggestion of flavoured chocolate from Lidl, I think I will be giving that a try too – and being German, it’s bound to be good. Thanks for that madeitwithlove!
