What is the best way to colour gum paste / modelling paste flesh tone?

I have tried so many ways now and am still not happy with the result. I am making the sleeping baby using the first impressions mould.

Thank you

Marian

Hi Marian

I like to keep it simple when it comes to flesh color. I use Wilton ivory, it darkens to a shade lighter than teddy bear brown.

Once the model is made, I combine a little rose dusting powder with icing sugar to dust the model with. If you keep dusting with

icing sugar you’ll find your model will take on a porcelain look which can be dusted very slightly again with the rose/icing

sugar mix.

Hi Lesley, Thank you very much! That’s one I haven’t tried.
