Wheat Free Recipe
Hi , I was wondering if you could recommend a good/tasty wheat free recipe that you have used. I am due to make a birthday cake in October and the birthday girl has a wheat allergy.
Cakes made with almond meal – ie, orange almond cakes taste yummy and work really well. I must admit I tend to just substitute gluten free flour in the recipes I make. The brand of gluten free flour that I use is Orgran – which is an Australian Flour and I am happy with the results. It may be an idea to make a test cake, with a favourite recipe to see if it works well. I must admit I prefer using flours that are already made up as opposed to purchasing all different types of gluten free flours and then making up the mix. Hope this helps Kate. Good luck.
