Where have the course materials gone?

Hi. Looks like the site has had a bit of a revamp, but I wonder where the course materials have gone. For example –

1. Crystal Palace Cake – there used to be a contact list of where to buy the baubles from and also the lights.
2. Ganache – There used to be a written recipe with this course.

I often dive in to double check I have the correct chocolate/cream ratio but my quick reference has disappeared.

Thanks

Hi samantha

You’ll find reference to the ganache ingredients here http://www.cakeflix.com/free-cake-decorating-courses/using-ganache-overview#ingredients
The ganache chart is here http://www.cakeflix.com/blog/how-to-ganache-cakes-without-gnashing-your-teeth

The contact list for the crystal palace cake has disappeared but I’m sure it can be restored if you contact [email protected]

Hope this helps.

Hi Samantha,

Thanks for alerting us to this and let me know if you spot anything else. I’ve now updated the Crystal palace ‘background information’ lesson to include the details of suppliers etc.

Here’s the info for quick reference:

The Crystal Palace cake uses 4″ plastic pillars, but you could easily use glass pillars or even shot glasses.
As long as there’s not too much dancing close to the table then the pillars are reliable and secure.

There are 100 baubles used on the cake with a mix of 1″, 1 1/2″, 2″ diameter.

Suppliers used (mention Paul Bradford):

Baubles – Black Noir – http://www.black-noir.co.uk/
Lights – Lights 4 Fun – http://www.lights4fun.co.uk/
Stand – McNaughtan Glass – http://www.mcnaughtanglass.com/

Hope this helps,
Andy
