#CakeShareFriday | A Selection of Members’ Cake Designs

Pretty and Feminine Cakes

16th January 2015

Every month we are going to be holding a #CakeShareFriday, where we will select a collection of our members’ cakes to post on our blog.

Would you like your cake to be featured in our blog? Watch out for our #CakeShareFriday posts on Facebook and your cake could be featured here too!

Carousel Cake by White Rose Bakery

Carousel Cake by White Rose Bakery

We love this adaptation of our Carousel Cake by Lucia Gallie of the White Rose Bakery in Devon. She has used Sugar Highs lovely “Bakedrops” backdrops to compliment her cake and create this very pretty image. You can see more of White Rose Bakery’s lovely cake designs on their Facebook page. We also particularly like her Tea Set Cake!

90th Flower Birthday Cake by Jane Ross

90th Flower Birthday Cake by Jane Ross

We love this pretty collage of images for this very feminine, floral cake by Jane Ross! She made this cake for a lovely lady’s 90th birthday who adores flowers! Collages are a brilliant way to demonstrate the intricate details of a cake.

Lindsey Anthony from Lulu & Belle’s Cakes Hand Painted Cake

This cake by Lulu and Belle Cakes is in every sense of the word – pretty! From the hand painted roses and the pastel colours to the delicate lace detail on the second tier…it really is something! The very talented Calli from Callicious Cakes will be in our studio next month demonstrating numerous hand painting techniques, so stay tuned for her tutorial!

Enchanted Castle Cake by Ann Markillie

Enchanted Castle Cake by Ann Markillie

We love this adaptation of our Enchanted Castle Cake by Ann Markillie who has created her enchanted castle in a lovely grey colour. This lends it a very realistic look and really highlights those perfect little windows – it actually looks like there are lights on inside the castle! Knock, knock, is anybody home?

Bear Birthday Cake by Zeph's Cakes

Bear Birthday Cake by Zeph’s Cakes

How clever is this cake by Zeph’s Cakes? We love how she has used a simple polka dot birthday cake and cleverly positioned the bears to make it look as though they are working together to build the little girls name – great idea!

It really goes to show that there are so many talented cake decorators using different techniques and styles to create pretty and feminine cakes. Thank you to everyone who posted their cake on our Facebook wall – we love looking at all of your wonderfully creative ideas and we really wish we could feature them all on here, but there are just too many fantastic cakes!

Make sure you are taking lots of pretty snaps of your cakes and look out for our next Cake Share Friday opportunity on our Facebook page to share these with us! What will the theme be next month? Stay tuned to find out.
